A Day at the Range

Recommended Posts

Finally had a chance to go to an outdoor range this morning. I love this rifle! The recoil is noticeably less than my Saiga 223, but at 50-100 yards it was just as accurate after the scope was sighted in.

One drawback was the single 10 round magazine. I wasted a lot of time reloading the only mag I have.

The ammo costs less than 223, less recoil, same accuracy (at my limited distances), not one jam or misfire, great price with free shipping. Did I mention I love this rifle?

Great to hear, convert it to take real AK mags and load up on ammo! As accurate as your 223, huh? What ammo were you using?

I am glad to hear that the rifle is a strong performer. However, I am still looking for a great deal on 5.45x39mm. Minus that I doubt I will be getting into a new caliber.

The cheapest I've seen is $369 and free shipping from centerfiresystems.com but there are other stores with the same price (plus shipping). The only issue I have so far is locating spare mags. I'm going to try an AK74 mag to see if it works. Ammo is dirt cheap as well, usually $150 for 1,080 rounds or 13.8 cents a round.

you need a bullet guide, but I understand they lock right in (74 mags)
