2336 0
Folks, I've got two of the Century Tantals that luckily shoot quite nicely - no keyholes! The only thing I don't like is the lack of a chrome-lined bore and chamber! My question is this - compared to the AK-74 variants on the market that have been built on various parts kits, does the Saiga 5.45 demonstrate better accuracy?
saigafreake 27
you are getting a brand new gun built in the same factory as the real military ak74. if its anything like the other saigas it will be the most accurate 5.45 variant out there.
2336 0
saigafreake, that's what I was hoping to hear. Thanks. I'm looking forward to ordering and modifying my own 5.45 Saiga!
2336 0
saigafreake, I finally got off my duff and ordered my saiga!!! I ordered an IZ240, 5.45x39 and should have it by next Tuesday! I'll start ordering conversion parts tomorrow. Looking at changing the stock, fire control group, adding a pistol grip, and bullet guide. Also looking at threading the barrel for a flash suppressor, and possibly modifying the handguard. Azrial 1,091
I am torn between doing the same thing and ordering/building an 5.45 upper for my M4!
Onepoint 0
I am torn between doing the same thing and ordering/building an 5.45 upper for my M4! I had the same dilemma, I did both since I ran across a used M&P upper, and am in the process of direct comparison. So far the AR upper is winning the accuracy comparison, both have functioned 100% so far. http://www.sksboards.com/smf/index.php?topic=60651.
