Mickey3GUN 5
It's easy. Just get a single (or 2, one for a back-up) machine screw style threaded sling QD stud from Uncle Mike's. Most stores sell them in a pack of ten, but some gun stores will sell them individually. And get a small washer to use as a spacer. It was a direct fit on my 7.62. 1) Un-load the weapon (naturally) and remove the fore-end. 2) Unscrew the existing stud and replace it with an Uncle Mike's QD Stud and the extra washer. (If you want, note the excess protruding into the inside of the stock, remove the stud and cut off the extra thread with a Dremel or a hacksaw. Dress the threads, re-insert it back into the nut-plate in the stock. 3) Take a center punch and stake the threads on the inside of the stock. 4) Re-assemble the fore-end to the weapon. 5) Attach your bi-pod to the QD stud. Now go out and play. Safely of course........... That's how I did mine. Hope this helps.
