AR type stock.

Recommended Posts

Was thinking about ordering me the buttstock I saw on Mississippi Auto's website that is the OD buttstock AR style with extendable buttstock.

Just wondering, is it as easy as they are saying to install? Is there any drilling on the .308 you would have to do, or is it pull a retaining pin and slap it on?

Depending on the model, they are direct replacements. There is a version for S308 with and without the pistol grip conversion already done. Just get the correct model and bolt it on. It will probably be more work removing the stock than putting on the new one. The factory one is on there pretty tight. You will need to pry or tap it out.

The only warning I have it watch your parts count. It is easy to overlook and not worth getting pinched over. While I agree that it isn't an issue that is getting looked at real hard, why be the first to be made an example of. It isn't overly expensive to do right the first time.
