We've all heard the commercial that asks "What's your sleep number?"

Well how about this - What's your firepower number?

In rife/shotgun it might work something like this:

Mine's 7.62X39+7.62X39+7.26X51+12 cubed = 2,710.98

Yeah, shotgun doesn't work that well with the gages but what the heck, fun none the less.

Between what's in my guncase, in various strategic locals around the house and what I have at the farm...ain't got that kinda time for that much math...prolly in the hundreds of thousands. Hey, I'm old and have been collecting for a LONG time! LOL

  • 2 weeks later...

3852

(7.62x54 x 2) + (7.92x57 x 2) + (7.62x51) + (7.5x55) + (6.8x63) + (7.7x56)

I know, I know. I love the odd ball cartridges ( and my math may be dodgy on the .270 Wby= 6.8x63)

Oops this thread is old as hell, shoulda checked

Seems like bullet grain ought to be a factor along with fps but here ya go. Yeah I kill time too.

(12 gauge)

12 x 57 = 912 (2) 1824

7.92 x 57 = 451.44 (2) 902.88

(357)

9 x 33 = 297 (3) 891

7.62 x 39 = 297.18 (2) 594.36

(45 acp)

11.5 x 23 = 262.2 (2) 524.4

9 x 19 = 171 (2) 342

(22 LR)

5.7 x 15 = 85.5 (3) 256.5

GRAND TOTAL 5334.74

Well, I won't count family heirlooms or anything lent out or at the gunsmith or otherwise unavailable, or stripped receivers, broken guns, etc.

Let's see, starting with pistols...

(.45 ACP) 11.43x23 = 262.89

(.40 S&W) 10x21.6 = 216

9x19 x2 = 342

5.7x28 = 159.6

(.32 ACP) 7.65x17 = 130.05

7.63x25 = 190.75

7.62x25 x 3 = 571.5

(.50 AE) 12.7x33 = 419.1

7.62 x 38 = 289.56

(.22 LR) 5.6x15 x2 = 168

Pistol Total = 2,749.45

Long guns...

7.62x39 x 3 = 891.54

12x76 x 4 = 3,648

7.62x54 x 4 = 1,645.92

7.5 x 55 x 2 = 825

9 x 19 = 171

5.56 x 45 x 2 = 500.4

5.6x15 x 3 = 252

Long gun total = 7,933.86

Total = 10,683.31

Are 37mm gas guns fair game for inclusion?
