Make 5 Posted April 14, 2005 Report Share Posted April 14, 2005 Make- Did you just use the spring from your eight rounder in there? I used both 8 and 5 rndr springs. I attached them with (I don't know what is the right word...) "Shrinking sock", you know: the tube what you put on for example electric wires and when you heat it, it shrinks and makes protection to the connection? The one I used gets hard after heating and shrinking (other type I have stays flexible...). I used 2 about 10 cm (4") pieces, one each side of the spring to make it solid. I'll take a picture later, if someone is interested... Didn't want to tin or weld, cause the metal used on springs might get weaker, if heated too much, and break or bend... Maybe like the chinese nlfd with the key on the back to wind the spring.
