billyjoebob 10
title say it all, thanks Under the NYS AWB (Article 265 of the NYS Penal Law), a prohibited shotgun is defined as follows: ( B ) a semiautomatic shotgun that has at least two of the following characteristics: (i) a folding or telescoping stock; (ii) a pistol grip that protrudes conspicuously beneath the action of the weapon; (iii) a fixed magazine capacity in excess of five rounds; (iv) an ability to accept a detachable magazine; The saiga already has a detachable magazine. Adding a pistol grip makes it a no-go. If you were just looking to replace parts to get it into 922 compliance, you could do that yourself fairly easily. Go to the 922 tacked thread, and see what parts are you are willing to easily replace, and go to one of the forum vendors to order. If you aren't getting into moving the trigger forward (to accommodate a pistol grip), most of what you will do is fairly easy...buttstock, forearm, and even the magazines themselves give you countable us parts. Feel free to PM me if you need any more info. Edited November 26, 2009 by billyjoebob
Nailbomb 10,221
My recomendation would be to call Tom Cole at CGW. He has some bulgarian thumbholes that we all love and will build you a NY compliant shotgun.
