charger SE 0
I'm using the FSE trigger group, the same one used in the Saiga conversion tutorial (Sheik Yerbouti's site). Do I need some sort of bushing where the pin goes through the trigger, or is the hole in the trigger already machined for the pin? Also, I think what these PG screws go for with shipping is rediculous. Why can't a guy go to the local hardware/fastener store and get a low-head socket cap screw? If someone could get me the PG screw thread size and length (under the head) I'd appreciate it, unless there's something magical about the special PG screw, and a standard one can't be used. Thanks everyone for your help and patience with the questions. Maybe I'll learn enough soon to actually contribute to the discussions!
jtoddellis 2
I used the FSE trigger in both of my conversions. There is no need for a bushing for your trigger pins. If you plan to replace your factory bolt hold open you will have to file down the right side of your hammer where the pin goes through. To avoid this you can reuse your factory saiga hammer on the 7.62x39 but you will be loosing a U.S. part in your parts count.
JWysenski762 0
well the nut that the pg screw screws into is a nifty little thing that fits nicewly in the reciver at the ptoper angel but it is rediculous what they charge for the nut and screw. im sure that with some basic machineing skils one could be fasioned. but for simplicity, i think il go ahead and use the nut and screw offered online. somone ought to make a deal for saiga conversions where you can buy a pg, fcg, pg screw and nut, stock and plugs for the holes from the old fcg at a reduced price.
