mike12345 18
What makes it an AOW? I believe the reason a shotgun would be an AOW is if it has a second/forward pistol grip? Im just looking for options to save me money. A $5 tax beats paying $200.
Shandlanos 1,470
It's a little more complex than that. The way I understand it, if a shotgun comes from the factory without a buttstock, it may be registered as an AOW and have a barrel under 18" in length. If it comes from the factory with a buttstock, it must be registered as an SBS to have a shortened barrel. The foregrip is irrelevant to AOW status when it comes to shotguns.
