JonTheSavage 0
Ok, which is it, the best one good for going toe to toe with an big ugly guy in his face when you run out of ammo? Something light, stable, durable, hopefully adjustable, but not a priority.

paprotective 362
There is a pretty solid RPB Industries (gunmallusa) Bulgy triangular Zytel-HD Resin stock I had bought for like $35, and its SOLID yet light.
Azrial 1,091
Plastic stocks make poor bludgeons. I would go with an un-hinged Ace myself, or the new Billet MSA stock.
aresv 49
The best tool for buttstrokes is probably a non-folding, non-telescoping wooden stock with a steel buttplate.
n102788 6
+1 for the wooden stock. I sanded mine (romanain G kit stock) and painted it flat black to match the rest of my black gun.

The grain on that looks awsome, what is the origin? Ironwood Designs maple, with Laurel Mountain Forge 'honey maple' stain and Permalyn finish, and Polytech metal hardware. My Type-56 almost-replica. Needs to lose the flash hider and have a full hood over the front sight, but otherwise pretty close

kdbutler 563
+1 for the wooden stock. I sanded mine (romanain G kit stock) and painted it flat black to match the rest of my black gun. +1 for wood stock as well. When my Saiga was restored, it was done with old wood furniture. Since refinishing it was probably beyond my abilities, I sanded the parts and used several coats of spray-on bedliner. I love it! Durable, with positive traction for my hands and cheekweld. Plus it looks great for the whole "black rifle" look. Edited December 13, 2009 by Kevin in Texas

imarangemaster 315
Best buy for the buck and strong too, are the $25 Bulgarian wood sets from APEX. I used Tapco FCG (+3), US grip (+1). K-Var US follower (+1) and US brake (+1) for 922 compliance.
