Look like the Form 4 get faster approval than Form 1.

Yeah I think my Form 4 will get here a lot faster than my Form 1s even thought the Form 1s had a month head start.

My guess is because the weapon is already on the books or maybe they have less Form 1s than Form 4s?

Sending anything to the BATFE is a exercise & application of patience. It's gets easier over time and after multiple stamps.

Congrats,

Hello

I'm into my third month of waiting for a Form III. I've never had to do the Form III thing before, but I'm beginning to suspect there may be some B.S. involved here.
Of course, I'll be starting my Form IV waiting period when my Form III clears (IF it clears....).

How do you figure out the pending date, approved date, when the form 4 was received and the examiner name??? and what does approved and pending date mean in relation to getting your item??? Is there a webiste you access or call??? I noticed on the form 4 there is a place the dealer can check so you can get information.

Call (304) 616-4500 and have your serial number handy for when they ask. The person that answers the phone will be able to tell you when you went Pending, Approved and who your Examiner is.

Not-Pending = forms are still in Atlanta, Ga.
Pending = ATF cashed your check and has your form(s)...Examiner could be assigned at any point.
Approved = Your form(s) are approved and waiting to be mailed to your or your FFL/SOT.

Hope this helped,

I hope I didn't screw things up too much when Michele and I signed the first amendment to our trust and made my law office a co-trustee. Then instead of using my social security number we're going to use my business EIN on the form 4. We also used that number yesterday for the bank account in the trust's name.
