getitat 609
Hello Now into the fourth month of "waiting for my Form 3 to clear". For clarification, I'm simply waiting for my in-stock NFA item (suppressor) to be shipped to my Class III dealer so I can begin my Form 4 waiting period. Three Class 3 dealers I've spoken to indicated 1-2 weeks is typical, a month is an abnormally long wait for this "rubber stamp" procedure. Somebody is going on my "do not patronize" list when this debacle finally finishes. Patiently....... -guido Hello I'm into my third month of waiting for a Form III. I've never had to do the Form III thing before, but I'm beginning to suspect there may be some B.S. involved here. Of course, I'll be starting my Form IV waiting period when my Form III clears (IF it clears....). -guido
Mike1234567 26
In San Antonio, TX: Spoke with my FFL today... says it takes 4-6 months for the entire process. Also said the local LEO's don't like to sign off.
Matthew Hopkins 1,065
today I just got my approved form 1 in my mailbox, to SBS my SAIGA. took 106 days, mailed off 5 nov 10. I know that it was a bad time to submit the form right before the holidays, thanksgiving/x-mas, not to mention people take vacation time, so I was set not to see this until march or april. I should have pre-folded the form, instead of putting it all in large envelope. if I would have done that, I would have moved the passport photo down, isntead of affixing it to where it says to affix it. now there is a a fold right in the middle of the picture. oh well, not a biggie. U.S. Pratorean 1,234
I believe on July 1, 2011 atf made some regional changes in processing these forms. I sent in my form 1, numbers 18,19,20, and 21 NFA items. The package was delivered on June 29,2011 and as of today 32 f'ing days later the checks still have not been cashed. For the previous 17 nfa weapons the checks were cashed within 7-10 days. I sure hope this is not the way of the future, shit if it is they should have left how it was.
