TonyRumore 1,332
If he got the form back in 63 days, someone fucked up and accidently put his in front of a bunch of others. Form 4's are running about 5 months right now. If you want to see where your paperwork is sitting, go to about 1:40 in this video. I can't seem to post the link for some reason. Go to YouTube and search on ATF Congress Meeting. You'll see about 100 boxes full of forms sitting in the hallway, waiting to be reviewed.

MCASgt New River 10,036
Anyone else pay with a check and have it processed as a ACH transaction? I sent all my papers w/check off for my sbr last week. Didn't know you could do it like that. I didn't set it up that way it's how the BAFTE processed my check. A LITTLE INFO ON ACH......... Banks and companies using this process receive a check and process it through a machine connected to the Automated Clearing House(ACH). The ACH automatically approves or declines the check based on sufficient funds in the account the check is drawn on. The business receives the payment immediately and the money is removed from the check writer's account immediately. Most financial institutions are using ACH as a way of eliminating paper checks. It offers immediate check clearing and eliminates the acceptance of checks with insufficient funds. When a check is processed through the ACH, the money automatically is transferred from the bank the check is written from to the destination bank account. 1. NFA Item: Vector Arms V51 SBR 2. Doug Hartley 526
I sent in my Form 4 paperwork in the middle of April and just got the stamp today, right at 6 months. I'm going over after work to pick up my suppressor and I'm taking a sick day Friday to go out and shoot it! If the NFA branch did the paperwork as fast as they cashed the checks we wouldn't have to wait so long. Doug

TonyRumore 1,332
I'm not sure if anything has changed on Form 1's and 4's, but even my 2's and 3's have been taking 3-4 months to come back. The good news is something has obviously changed in the last few weeks. Form 2's have been coming back in 10 days. That is the best it has ever been. Tony

Tell the receptionist who answers you want to check on the status of your item. They will ask for the serial #, your name, and the business name of the dealer. They will then give you a status. Remember, be nice.
