tommiegunn54 18
Been looking over the videos and topics on 20 round drums, i think its safe to say that the battle is between MD arms and Alliance Arms, My question to the forum is does anyone have a preference? If so what would be the reason?
tommiegunn54 18
I have drums from both suppliers in question, they work flawlessly in all off my S12,s .Everybody gets an A for effort ,but once again my weapons have all been custom tuned by LONE STAR ARMS of ABQ. NEW MEXICO .I shoot them quite often because i can shoot the cheap shit from Wal-mart with no problems so i am having fun getting ejected from the indoor ranges simply because the weapons are so intimidating and they think their full auto.Tuning a weapon is not cheap, however if you shoot much at all you will pay for it in short order in ammo alone....TGUNN!!! My S12 runs the cheap stuff from walmart too and has done so from day I pulled it out of the box no need for expensive tuning to make it operate correctly. I don't know what ranges you go to, but around here you only get kicked out if you are unsafe and/or act like an ass.
holderbox 0
Well i feel like a horses ass..Maybe i should have waited 2 more weeks before i bought my MD20 drum.I would have saved $140 bucks.. Voonman, according to Mike's email he's going to bat for the customers that ordered within the previous thirty days! How's that for customer service! From: MD Arms Ltd [mailto:info@mdarms.com] Sent: Tuesday, January 26, 2010 1:09 AM To: Subject: New LOW Price!! $120 for a MD-20, 20rd Saiga-12 drum! Hi, I wanted to break some news to everyone. Due to a new comer entering the Saiga-12 drum market soon... We are lowering the price of our drum, the MD-20 to $120. You read that right, $120!!! The price will go into effect 01-26-10 at noon, Eastern time. That is less than 12 hours away. Our new competitor is not know for quality products but we felt this is something we must still do. Not only to ensure a competitive edge but to better ensure your money is well spent! From what I'm hearing, our new $120 price point will still make our drum the most affordable drum on the market. That with our proven design and reputation for reliability should keep MD Arms, Ltd by far the best choice for a saiga-12 drum mag. I could be wrong but I highly doubt the new guys are making a better mouse trap! I will post more on this tomorrow prior to Noon. We will be contacting our stocking dealers tomorrow as well to work out something on stock still held. We will be offering customers that have ordered in the past 30 days something as well. We will be opening up sales to new stocking dealers as well and will have those details in the next few days. I want to apologize and thank everyone that paid more for one in the past. This was out of our control. But we feel the ultimate outcome from this will make up for it in time. We hope you will all help us spread the word on our new low price on our proven quality product! Thanks Everyone! MikeD

Ronswin 26
i've got one of Mike's first batch of 20-round drum mags and it has been flawless right out of the box with no "tuning" necessary to the shotgun. It does get used often whenever a match allows it or it will be an advantage on a stage during competition. I have used Alliance's drum mag and was not real impressed with the weight or it's overall performance. To be honest, I'm surprised Alliance is still selling drum magazines especially with the latest MD Arms drum mag price reduction.
