If these were standard, a lot more people would be signing up for the police force!!! Imagine just WAITING for a speeder to go by.......c'mon speeder, c'mon!!! The best were the 'Extreme pursuit vehicles' a half dozen Plymouth Fury II Hemi powered 4 speed interceptors. At one time they also would pay Officers to use their personal cars - a bunch of Mustangs mainly,but someone claimed they were pulled over by a '63 purple Rambler wagon powered by a 396 rat motor! They use it for their D.A.R.E. program but also patrol with it. I always thought it would be kind of funny to rev the engine when stopped next to it at a light.
