chevyman097 2,579
I allmost got one! it looks like it would be comfortable and just the right grip, but I got a grippod instead and love it.
dannyfantasy2000 68
I've been thinking about getting one of these for the S-12 since it wouldn't interfere with the mags. Downside is it takes up a lot of rail estate. How many rails does it cover?
shades_of_grey 1,092
I've been thinking about getting one of these for the S-12 since it wouldn't interfere with the mags... True, that's a real strength of this design on that particular weapon. I use a Tango Down stubby on a Krebs side-rail grip adapter to solve this problem, (of course these Magpul grips weren't available at the time).
vinnivanhood 17
Its on magpul's site now and says it takes 5" min. I was considering this myself, I saw it somewhere else, but they only had it in desert tan. Cool seeing it on the same quad-rail I have, now I'm sure I want one! Thanks Hallboss! 6500rpm 670
Another slick option from Magpul is the B.A.D. lever, not real new but very slick if you own a AR.
22_Shooter 1,560
I'll end up picking one up at some point (because I'm a Magpul whore), but for now, I'm rocking TD stubbies on everything of mine that has a VFG. But the AFG does indeed perfectly fit my grip-style. Magpul just released their new catalog that you can DL as a PDF file. They have a lot of new stuff coming out. HOWARD COSELL 155
I have an AFG on one of my AR's. It's comfortable and for the price it's worth it. I haven't tried it on my S12 yet. EDIT It's about 8 inches long. The AFG that is Edited January 24, 2010 by THE RIPPER
hallboss 1
Here is a couple of pics on my DPH tri rail. It does take up a lot of space, but man was it worth it. It is very comfortable and there is more than enough room for mag changes. Edited January 26, 2010 by hallboss

Twinsen 86
Anybody have any word on AWB relevance?
hallboss 1
Anybody have any word on AWB relevance? Whether or not it is considered a vertical hand grip? The law in CA (PC 12276.1) describes a forward grip as a vertical grip meant to be grasped by the non firing hand. The weapon must also be equipped with folding or telescoping stock. It has to have both which, even if the forward grip met the definition or a vertical grip. I know it looks like mine has a tele stock, but look closer.... Good point though, thanks for looking out. gtnichols 51
I'm diggin it,..Magpul AFG It's smaller than I thought, much better ergonomics, I do wish it was a tad longer.
22_Shooter 1,560
Anybody have any word on AWB relevance? I've never heard of any AWB's (not even NY's!) that restrict VFG's. On the other hand, as far as I know, this is still no-go on things like AR pistols.
