paprotective 362
Been over 2 months since the last AMMO Price Question... Soooo... I noticed Wolf (black box) FMJ/HP for about $250/1000 rounds and then the S&H.. Anyone seen/noticed commercial grade (BBear, Wolf, Gtiger, etc..) ammo 7.62x39 prices dropping abit. Tax check is coming in like 2 weeks. I want Wolf 124gr HP Mil Classic in 1000 rnds for under $0.28/round shipped (or less).. Anyone got a link for IT or something (commercial boxed) for under $0.25/1000 shipped??? Feel free to PM me. $109 for BBear / 500 would be $220 and then add the S&H so that isn't the best deal I'm sure. I would go Yugo FMJ for $200 but heard mixed reviews.. Any usage opinions...?? paprotective 362
The ammo engine has CTD with Wolf Mil Classic HP 124 at $239/1000. S&H is $30-35 (from CTD) but I thought I'd share with all as it works out to about $0.27/round shipped. (Item # is AMM-633) Just save me a case.. I hate being broke. Anyone else come up with a better COMMERCIAL deal feel free to chime in...

I am glad someone posted a link to atlantic though, Golden tiger is awsome... Either way, we can still talk about other companies right? Just say there name and a price and if some one is interested they can find it on the web sight them selves. You can name a company, you can name a buisness, you can specify price, and quantity, you can even post a picture of the product, and make a review. But if its not ammo and you post a link to a buisness it will be removed. Now you can link off from this site, just not to other peoples stores. So if someone asks about a scope, feel free to post a link to a review on a website or another forum, that is not selling that product. ETA: the only reason i said anything at all is after removing a dozen or so links to other buisnesses, and then stumbling across a thread where those people could be and wern't i felt it should be specified. thank you all for your cooperation. Edited January 27, 2010 by Nailbomb describe original reason for posting in thread
chevyman097 2,579
Oh I did not know ammo was allowed. I just usually prefer to check vendors first, Atlantic does have some awesome deals. If anyone was looking for that ammo its at sgammo.com I think thats it. Anyways a few pmed me and it was shared. Im allways willing to support our vendors and follow the applied rules. Golden tiger is the shit and my ak loves it!

christcorp 26
I've definitely noticed ammo deals popping up again. During christmas vacation, I was in albuquerque visiting the family. Went to one of the local gun shops. They had a sale on PMC Bronze .223. Price was $6.75 a box. So I picked up about 400 rounds. Just yesterday, I was at walmart, and they had federal value packs of .223 for $39.96 for a box of 100. That comes to about $8 per box of 20. Considering in both cases it's reloadable and brass; not that I reload it; that's a good price. I have no problem with getting silver or brown bear; or even wolf. And the best price for those seem to be about $4.50 a box from cheaperthandirt. But with shipping and handling, it's probably closer to $6 a box. Still a great price, but if I can get reloadable brass for a dollar more, I'll go there. If it's not on sale, I'll get the wolf/bear.
chevyman097 2,579
Well word last night on SGAMMO was that they had the last shipment of Golden tiger at the sale price of 195. I got up this morning to order it and its already GONE!!!!! Well shit. I would have liked to get some more before the price jumped again. Guess Ill keep looking elsewhere.
HappYBallZ 31
Yeah I got me 1000 rounds of Golden Tiger from SGammo a week ago along with 500 brown bear 7.62 and .223, very fast shipping and decently priced at that for 64+lb's of ammo. I called them on the Feb 23 and asked how much longer they are going to keep the pricing on GT at $195 and they said that after those 34 cases are gone it's going up to $225/1000(not including shipping of course). So no more Golden Tiger for me, decent pricing on brown bear still but nothing to brag about. Shoulda bought another 1k while I had the chance... i didnt know they were going to remove it on the 24th right after I called lol. Oh well.
RobRez 1,895
Still finding reasonable deals....500 rounds wolf .308 for $150 and still $200 to $220 per 1000 wolf 7.62x39. All at a local retailer.
Ruffian72 548
SGammo are good people and didn't gouge during the freak out. Shipping isn't padded. Do use Sportsmans Guide with club member and $10.00 off coupons it's usually the widest selection. Cope Dist. has been good and at times has $7.50 shipping. AIM also good outfit. Shoot around 2 to 3 thousand rds a month of different calibers. Never let my stock get low, just rotate.

I liked dealing with them, plus talking to that girl in the office that picked up the phone, very friendly lol. What exactly do you mean by shipping not being padded? Like as in them not over-inflating shipping or them not using padding(popcorn-etc) during shipping? because I couldnt get all that damn staticly charged popcorn off the boxes and had to use the vacum cleaner to clean my carpet after opening. hehe I was thinking of getting the membership at the sportsmans guide but I dont know if it's worth the yearly fee. I dont usually buy more than 4000-5000 rounds a year.
Ruffian72 548
HappYBallZ, You are right on the sticky peanuts. Always open outside. The overinflation of shipping. Some outfits, do gouge on shipping. Fine example is Ace Ltd. $15.00 for a stock set. Received last one in a $8.00 USPO box. Georgia Arms, also is quite high, yet have great 10mm plinking ammo. On SPG membership, usually saves me a few hundred dollars a year. With their credit card discount, 5%off, membership price and $10 or $15 coupon, total delivered usually is 10 to 20% less than elsewhere. The 1st order usually saves enough to pay for membership. Usually check 3 to 5 places on monthly order. Edited February 26, 2010 by Ruffian72
