Savage bolt action rifles-Mag Capacity Question

Recommended Posts

Yup, you'd have to cut through your stock(remove action before doing all this), cut out the base plate in the mag, create new extendo mag, weld everything back together and hope for the best because if you didn't do a downtown job your gonna end up with a single shot savage. :cryss:

You could just buy a rem 700 action new and make a bigger mag for it. Or learn how to reload one at a time faster.

Go to http://www.sharpshootersupply.com/ and look in the accessories section.

Or go to http://cdiprecisiongunworks.com/c1/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=7&Itemid=27

PM me if you need any more info as I've gotten hott and heavy into savages lately ;)

Good luck,

Interesting, I always thought this would have to be a DIY project. I've worked on a decent amount of Savages and have never used sharpshootersupply, USMC_Mwroseberry have you used this company before? Specifically for barrels and the magazine conversion? My Savage striker thought it was done with all of its mods, now you introduce this to me!!! Thanks!

I haven't dealt with the company to date but my father in law is going to order me a bolt handle and I've asked for the tactical handle from them. I hear they are very good people to work with. They may be a bit slow getting your parts to you but they have great customer service if you run into issues.

Good luck and I'll post pics up of my Stevens (savage) when I get it done. Well done excluding the new barrel which I'm probably going to have to wait to buy.

Thanks,

Merritt
