justinmcmillion 77
What do I put in the Importer/Manufacturer box for; Arsenal SLR-107ur Made in Bulgaria imported by Arsenal Las Vegas Saiga-12 Made in the IshMash Factory Russia Imported by Russian American Armory Co. Also on the SLR-107ur, it is an AKSU in 7.62 Ive seen bbl lengths between 8.25 and 8.75, does any one know the norm? Thanks in advance for the help. Justin
sunnybean 939
I put "Arsenal, Las Vegas" in box 4a on the 107UR as it was (re)made there. I put Izhmash, Russia in box 4a for the S-12 as that's where it was made (imported by RAAC) My 107UR is 8.5" from bolt face to the end of the muzzle nut. Both went through w/o problem. ETA I just realized your thread is titled Form 4. I assume you're talking Form 1 (Make and register).? The info should already be on the form if you're transfering (F4) these. Yeah meant form 1 sorry, thanks for the info, so arsenal las vegas assembled the gun? or you mean "dremeled" out the magwell and ensured its 922r compliance? also on the 107 what was your OAL? How do you like your 107? Pictures? Did you include imported by RAAC and their address on the s-12? on a s12 with a 10" bbl what would I put as OAL? Thanks for the response Edited February 24, 2010 by JMac
sunnybean 939
OAL is 26.5" on the 107UR. Love this gun. I had Dale at Elite Iron do the work to it...cut/crown and remove the plug in the FGB. When filling out the F1 I asked around on arf.com and everyone agreed to use Arsenal, Lost Wages in 4a. OAL is 26.25" to the end of the hard plastic on the Tromix stock and 27" and with the big ol' Limbsaver pussy pad. Probably 26.75" with the normal pad (guessing). This is on a 8" gun...ADD 2" TO OAL FOR 10" BARREL. Hmmm, don't really have any action shots of the 107UR. Might have to change that this weekend. Cheers! ETA, To answer your other question...No, I did not put RAAC's addy down. Just "Izhmash, Russia". Edited February 24, 2010 by sunnybean
justinmcmillion 77
Very Nice! I was contemplating the 556 pistol sbr as well... cant make my mind up between these 3 106ur + form 1 ,heard they have some issues 556 pistol + form 1 ,I had the SWAT rifle and sold it because it was too front heavy, hows the pistol sbr for balance? and 3rdly the FN fs2000 Which has an Minimun OAL by BATFE stadandards while also having a 17.5" bbl which really takes advantage of the ballistics of the .223 I already have an AR-15 sbr but its a toy.. I wouldnt trust my life on it. Thanks again for your response, Im gonna get these Form 1's in the mail hopefully by tomorrow
sunnybean 939
Hmmm, tough choices. I don't have any experience with the 106UR or the FS2000. What are the issues with the 106? I haven't heard of any but, then again, I haven't really followed that model. As for the FN, they seem to be neat little guns. I know there are die hard bullpup fans, but I'm not one of them. They probably shoot well and retain good ballistics but the looks always turn me off. Something I need to get over...and probably would if I'd shoot one. You're right, the Sig 556SBR is a bit front heavy. I didn't help that any by adding the Troy rail and heavy four piece brake. I find most any gun that uses a hollow tube stock like that ends up being front heavy. I like that gun though. Just wish the mag release was a bit closer. I have a extended release on order (which reminds me, where the hell is that thing?). I have a short little POF and the weight is really noticeable on it. On the other hand, the 107UR has a hollow stock but balances nicely.
justinmcmillion 77
Im sure you already know this but the 106ur is the same as the 107ur but in .223, Ive heard of faulures to feed with this model. I hate the looks of a bull pup as well but when handling the fs2000 in person it was like fireworks! the balance is weight rearward and you could hold that thing out there ALL DAY! Ive read reveiws where it has been coined the most accurate OFF-Hand shooter amoung other popular assault rifles, due to the balance and the way the gun kind of becomes and extension of your body. prices are as follows 106= $900 + $200 tax Total $1100 sig pistol/sbr= $1400 + $200 tax + stock ($100) Total $1700 FS 2000= $2000-2200 depending on classic or tactical Looks wise Id go with the 106, love the aksu design, however I already have the 107.. As far as the most reliable .223 with AR erginomics, its without a doubt the sig The FS however has the extra bbl length the .223 needs to reach out to 250+ yards while at the same time is a nice compact package at around 30" OAL, just have to get over the looks of it being a bullpup, btw the trigger was very reasonable for a bullpup Finally got my paper work filled out, love a trust, hate the paperwork..
