Gunfanatic 221
Looking to pick up another .223 to add to the collection and managed to narrow it down to these four choices. 1) Ruger SR556 http://www.ruger.com.../index.html?r=y 2) Robinson Arms XCR http://www.robarm.co...lstd/index.aspx 3) MSAR STG556 E4 http://www.msarinc.com/STGE4.html 4) Sig Sauer SIG556 Classic http://www.sigsauer....5&productid=
Donkismash 81
well fuck Ruger because of there stance on the AWB....the others
BobAsh 582
Get the SIG 556 pistol, form 1 it into SBR, and add the stock. BAM!
banshee 69
I have a STG556 and it is a fine rifle. It shoots and handles great.
Reverendfranz 160
I doubt anyone would argue that the SIG556 is the best rifle on the list. Unless you need a bullpup thats your kitty. And who am I kidding, its the internet, of course someone would argue, that doesn't mean they are right.
22_Shooter 1,560
XCR all the way. If I were in the market for another .223 or any of the other calibers they offer in it, I'd be all over it.
ram123 17
If I was in the market for an AR I would get a gas piston POF. The STG looks pretty cool, Banshee hows the trigger pull?
patriot 7,197
I'd go for the Sig.
banshee 69
If I was in the market for an AR I would get a gas piston POF. The STG looks pretty cool, Banshee hows the trigger pull? the trigger is not a target trigger, but it is not bad, about 5 lb. I have shot ARs with worse triggers I was going to buy a SIG556 until I picked one up. I didn't like the damn rails all over it and to me it seemed like a glorified AR. I would rather have a Swiss made 550 or 551 Edited February 28, 2010 by Banshee
Twinsen 86
MSAR for the sexy, sexy win. I will have one. Oh, I will have one.
Racer 27 37
2 just ahead of 3. Sigs just feel to front heavy and cheap to me.
camon 233
Either the MSAR or the Sig 556. Make sure to get the MSAR STG-E4 because it takes AR-15 Mags.
bigj480 203
XCR or MSAR, depending on what you like. Then SIG and then Ruger. You might want to check out what POF has to offer, also. Edited March 18, 2010 by bigj480
quinci956 1
If I was in the market for an AR I would get a gas piston POF. The STG looks pretty cool, Banshee hows the trigger pull? the trigger is not a target trigger, but it is not bad, about 5 lb. I have shot ARs with worse triggers I was going to buy a SIG556 until I picked one up. I didn't like the damn rails all over it and to me it seemed like a glorified AR. I would rather have a Swiss made 550 or 551 I totally agree and it is good to finally see that someone else feels the same about the rash of rails that the 556 came down with. Can it be ordered with the smooth 550/551 hand guards??
TonyRumore 1,332
Only the SWAT version of the sig comes with rails all over it. The Classic has smooth hand guards. Here's one in .458 SOCOM. Second pic is a Sig pistol that has been SBR'd. I have a MSAR as well, but it's accuracy is a bit marginal for my tastes. Tony
raidersfan_5544 57
Why another 223? For those on the list I'd pick a SIG
Chowderhead72 13
+1 on the sig. Now available in a nfa 10.5! Silencer? Oorah!
Chowderhead72 13
well fuck Ruger because of there stance on the AWB....the others wow! Yet another reason not to buy ruger.
Casp 119
well fuck Ruger because of there stance on the AWB....the others I don't think that's fair. Old Man Ruger was largely responsible for those unfavorable politics, and the bastard is dead now, so I feel the company deserves a second chance. They've done quite a lot to try to earn back consumer respect since he bit the dust. New full-size military pistol, new CCW pistols, an AR-15 variant, and factory 20rnd Mini-14/30 mags are back on the table. ...but I still say piston-converted ARs are bullshit. I voted for the SIG. The MSAR isn't bad either if you're not concerned about the bullpup ejection-side issues.
yakdung 2,926
SIG just my 0.02 yakdung
blackshoesnipe 0
From Your list, I would go with the SIG 556. The other two look like a AR/M-16/M-4, why not just buy a stripped lower and make the rifle You want? You can even get a Monolithic upper with all the Tacticool rails. Of course if you are feeling especially "Starship Trooperish" You can't go wrong with a FN-2000. Blackshoesnipe
