T1gger 3
So the gas tube that I put on the Saiga wouldn't allow the lever to close to lock it in. We had to dremel just a bit off and got it to fit, but there is a very slight rattle with slight movement of the tube. It doesn't bother me at all, I just want to make sure that this is not going to harm the rifle in any way. Thanks.
Cobra 76 two 2,677
Should be fine. Is there any way you can add some more tension to the spring by putting more bend in it or something? The factory tubes do have springs don't they? I've only got on rifle left unconverted and it's in the safe where I can't see it right now...
Klassy Kalashnikov 1,393
Yeah, the factory tubes use a small ring shaped spring to keep pressure on the gas tube.
T1gger 3
I'll check that out.

T1gger 3
Mind sharing how you got that spring off the old tube and onto the new one?
eric1785 15
I used a flat blade screwdriver from the top and just popped it off, i pm'd you too but said about the same thing, good luck.
T1gger 3
I just did a ton of work and in the end had to take it off of the new gas tube. The gas piston wasn't going all the way in the tube. I'm about po'ed about doing all of that for nothing. C'est la vie.
eric1785 15
What did you do a ton of work on? If you already had it fitting and needed to fix the rattle. Taking the clip off and putting it on the new tube takes 20 seconds. Sorry i dont get it??
