thegoaty 0
so i live in texas not kalifornia and will be using 10 round magazies, can i put the tapco intrafuse stock with the pistol grip on a unconverted saiga and not have to worry about the silly 922r compliance bs? i dont want to do a conversion yet but the stock is too long for me as it is. Nailbomb 10,221
Yes you will still need to meet 922r standards when using a 10 round magazine. the tapco stock is 2 parts, but raises your parts count by adding a pistol grip. the magazine is 3 parts (for mag body, follower and floorplate) so, 14 parts normaly, +1 for pistol grip = 15 2+3 = 5 compliance parts unless i fucked up somewhere you would be just barely legal at 10. That being said i do not recomend relying on mags for 922r compliance. If your dead set on converting, you could get the complete Intrafuse set(buttstock, pistolgrip, forearm) , a gas piston, and a muzzle device or a american made choke, and be all set that way too. But you would still be happier with it converted.
WymoreWrangler 1
If you are using a factory mag, then you would not be in compliance... A mag would have to be use made to count...

uzitiger 193
Why not just convert and you'll have a shorter rifle which is easier to wield. I made a wooden stock before I converted mine and after conversion it was a few inches shorter due to the AK stock and threaded barrel (I did away with the threaded adapter which also added length). I was scared to convert mine and f--k it up but I finally got the courage and glad I did it. This way I changed more parts for the idiotic USC922r compliance.
