Easy on the beans if any--having my guts turned into a natural-gas refinery is NOT my idea of fun... unless it's one of the rare occasions I decide to take a swim and there's a pool full of Libtards up on the surface for it to bubble up to.

I had a Pro Mag beans in my soup once. It made the soup taste like crap. Pro Mag beans in my chili would have to be a zillion times worse. :lolol:

I made it with a dried 15 bean soup bag once. Once! My gut was more like Hiroshima, and my girlfriend at the time wasn't happy about the 2 hour road trip we took either!!!

More reasons to keep the beans out of my chili.

Real chile never knew a bean, nor a tomato.

That said, I'll take mine with or without.

Want a kickass chile recipe? I've won & placed in couple of local cook-offs with this recipe.

'Chile's Chipolte Chile'

...................................

8 cans: Herdez Chipolte chiles in Adobo sauce.

**Optional- 4 cans: Rotel HOT

**Optional- 1lb Pinto beans, cooked.

2 cups: Brown Sugar

**Optional, but HIGHLY recommended- 1 large Hershey Special Dark chocolate bar.

2 large Onions quartered

4 large Garlic cloves

8-10lbs skirt/flank steak

Salt, Cumin and whatever other spices float your boat.

In a blender, combine chipoltes/adobo sauce & *Rotel, blend till smooth.

In large stock pot, add 1/2cup oil and roast onions/garlic, remove, chop & return to pot.

Add chipolte/rotel to stock pot, heat on low-med.

Add brown sugar & *chocolate ( The brown sugar cuts the bitterness of the chipoltes & the chocolate adds a mole flavor.)

Grill steaks rare/med rare, char over heavy flame for great grill flavor, cool and cut into large bite sized chunks, add to pot.

*Add beans.

Season to taste.

Simmer 1/2hr, over low/med heat, careful not to scorch, stir frequently.

Serve topped with crumbled Queso Anejo and fresh tortilla chips.

Ice cold Horchata or Cerveza to wash it down.

Which could get especially nasty for those who are into playing in the tailpipe...

Well nether of us have any interest in the "tailpipe".

If ya wanna surprise the Mrs. Just wait until she rips one and say "Hey, keep that open for me!" The look on her face is priceless!

I think I am going to have to weigh in here,...

I like beans in Chili, But I also like it with no beans.

I like to simmer it for at least a day. If you use canned beans, pour of the bean liquor (sauce in bean can) makes for a less windy road trip.

A nice fat riddled rib-eye and sage sausage are good to start with.

Chili has to have something to go with it whether it's beans or something else.

You are correct.

Beans (or something else) are fine as a side dish - just not in it.

I prefer cornbread with my chili.
