Cheapo ARs do usually tend to break.

Im in no way an AR fan over the AK, I love my AK. Just the truth, you can argue AR vs AK all day, but cheap is cheap. I smell a cheapo.

Aside from alliance's "reliability service" victims, what cheap AKs break?

My AK can't do this, but my AR can.

Different tools for different jobs, I'd drag my MGI through all the same crap you'd drag your AK through, shoot nothing but wolf, and it would work fine.

However, if SHTF and a buddy needed a rifle but had no idea how to use one. I could give him a crash course on operating, cleaning and maintaining the AK in about an hour. The AR is going to need the better part of an afternoon.

+1

There are a lot of cheapo crap AR clones out there. Buy a good one and it'll perform flawlessly. Mine does. Every time. DPMS

Very strange report on a few cals..... x39 and the Thumper 450 especially sounds like it has a built-in duck call.

It's the corrugated metal building behind them - makes a very strange echoing sound on the report of the gun. I've shot next to those type of quonsets and other metal buildings with the same effect.
