JohnnyFreewill 0
This is my first post on this site, so a howdy to all you guys out there. Question I got is on Stoner platform hunting rifles; when I went to Academy Sporting Goods. All the Stoner type rifles had a sign saying do not sell to under 21; My guess was that it was because it could hold higher count magazines. But this is where it gets confusing, I went to a gun-show the other day and went up to the vendor that was selling M-16 family weapons. Ask the guy the same thing didn't have any idea of such a law. P.S. I currently live in South Carolina.
Shandlanos 1,470
As long as they are long guns (as defined by the NFA, GCA, etc.), anyone over the age of 18 who is not a prohibited person (also defined by a slew of federal laws) may purchase those weapons. If the weapons were short-barreled (under 16" barrel) and classified as pistols or short-barreled rifles, then the minimum age is 21.
