PaiN 1
I saw some pics of members .308s with the skeletonized pistol grip stock and a standard trigger. I'm wondering how this setup works/feels for people that use it. thanks here's the stock: http://www.saigastock.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=26&products_id=141 Edited May 5, 2010 by PaiN
loki0629 55
This is the stock that came with my .308 before I converted it. It was ok and I did get used to shooting with it. Although this part kind of gives you a pistol grip, it can't even compare to a full conversion because you'd be amazed how much moving the grip two inches forward affects the weapon's balance. The trigger pull is also greatly improved in terms of feel and reset. If you're thinking of buying this stock, don't bother. Save your money for the conversion parts. If you're not going to do the conversion, I think the standard stock would be a better option for the .308 instead of the skeleton stock. Just my two cents.
canoecanoe 63
If you have the stock, sell it. If you don't, don't buy it. Restore it and get rid of the funky trigger. You will not regret it.
elvis christ 451
With that stock and the trigger in its factory configuration, you end up pulling upward on the trigger, as opposed to back. I found that it was throwing my shots off a bit, so I ditched it, did the trigger work, and went with a Choate skeleton stock.
PaiN 1
Great advice always appreciated, I'll scrap the skele stock idea and save the $
