gunguy1972 0
Has anyone tried a Tapco AK74 mag in there Saiga 223 yet? I like the looks of them better than the Tapco Galil mags. I'm sure you would need a bullet guide. just wondering any help would be appreciated.
Shellshock1918 1
Just get the Galil ones, they will actually function. They are designed to hold 5.56/.
nalioth 405
This has been discussed ad nauseum (to the point of nausea) here. Bottom line: the cartridges are not the same shape and using them in a mag not designed for them will cause malfunctions. . . Edited May 15, 2010 by nalioth
PinkFloyd 63
Yeah... not sure who the bonehead who started the rumor that 5.45 and 5.56 are the same, the two are totally different. It'd be like using a 6.8 SPC in a .223 mag, it just doesn't work. Just get some galil mags, or if you dont like the way they look get Bulgy mags or Weiger mags. AK's are never going to be lookers, despite their sexy simplicity, so quit while you're ahead
