Can I use saiga mags with a bullet guide?

 

Are the promag 10 round polymer mags the same as the saiga mags or are they like regular ak mags?

If the mags are listed as Saiga, yes. If not they are AK mags and also Yes, if you are filing the catch down for com-bloc mags just go slow and check fit often.

Once I installed the bullet guide, I was not able to use the stock Saiga ten round mag until I modified it. Check the last jpg in this topic to see what I had to do to get the Saiga mag to work.

My factory mag works fine with no mods, my rifle had a flat trunion and the BG fit flush to the back of the trunion so it made no difference to the stock mag.

i made my own bullet guide (flat) and i had no problems with the stock mags.
