imrayzor666 0
As the title says, I would like to know who has already converted M14 magazines to fit our Saiga .308's, how hard the job was, etc...... Any info would be helpful. If this has been beat to death already, sorry, I just serched for at least an hour with no results.
IffenWhen 0
His name is BattleRifleG3......here is a thread to start your search. Saiga 12.com He has a irreversable modification for the .308 and the .223, I believe they include G3 mags/M14. You would have to contact him for details. Hope this helps. If you know how to weld and heat treat metal then you will not have any trouble doing them. You can not use JB weld to do them. I have links and threads on the site. http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?showtopic=4811 http://rjgsr.com/photo%20saiga.htm Remember no mods are done to the rifle all are on the mag you can still use the stock mag if you want to. BattleRifleG3 16
My conversion uses G3 mags mildly converted, with a substantial conversion to the gun. I have a few threads with pictures on this forum.
johnnymceldoo 0
I just started a conversion to use M14 mags tonight. I cut a little out of the trunion already and have a little more to go for the mag to sit right without cutting on it. From all indications so far the stock mag should seat exactly as it did before relieving the trunion for the M14 mag. My goal is to relieve the trunnion some and simply weld some lips on the mag and retain use of the factory mags. I'll do a post with some pics when Im done.
cpileri 0
Yeah, if it works out that a conversion that still allows use of factory mags can be done it would really be worthwhile! C-
