This looks like a wire-guided missile and I sure as heck can't tell exactly what kind of a tank that is. It looks more like a Western tank, than any of the Soviet T-XX series (and copies) typically used by middle-Eastern countries. In fact, it kind of looks like an Israeli Merkava tank. Hell, the setting looks more like Europe, than the Middle East. I am all confused now!

Actually, IMI builds their own tanks and ground munitions.We supply them with most of their aircraft which they gut and add their own electronics to. In other words, they are technically proficient in their own right.

That wasn't an Israeli weapon, or a Syrian tank, or even combat footage.

 

That was test range footage... from the mid 1990's by the looks of it, of a TOW missile being tested against an old British Chieftain tank.

 

The cook-off of the tanks ammo and fuel was cool though.

This is actually pretty old vid. I remember watching this when I was in High School and that was back in the 90s. IIRC, that was from an old program called firepower on the discovery channel
