The izzy 5 & 8 round mags seem to be the best for 3" mag ammo. Although, I have put 30 rounds of 3" magnum win 1 buck through one of my agps without a problem. Quote Link to post Share on other sites

Paulyski 2,227 Posted July 1, 2010 Report Share Posted July 1, 2010 Also, surefire admits that their 12 rounder's spring lacks the power to lift a full load of 3" shells. Their best for light loads. The later gen AGPs work great for me with 3" mag loads after I tuned them up nice. (sanded the inside with 240 grit & stretched the spring a touch to match the pressure the Russian mags deliver) The front tab issue has been addressed by surefire & AGP. Promag has neglected to fix it on theirs, but their stick mags suck ass anyhow, so no big loss. Look at the pick below. You can see the change on my 2 old surefires. One has the current wider front tab, the other has the narrow tab. The narrow tab is problematic. Quote Link to post Share on other sites

The first round and sometimes the second will feed but Round 3 or 4 is getting stuck low in the mag.I had to really tap the mag a bit to get things back out.Unfortunately I did not bring my AGP mags to see if the same issue is evident.Any Ideas on improving the feed?
