daron 0
I ordered some of the new 1700 fps remington hypersonic 3" #4 shot for my stock saiga12 and want to know how the saiga might handle these loads. I have only shot light shells through my saiga and probably only shot it 40 times altogether. These loads can't damage the gun or me can they? What will the recoil be like? Thanks in advance. -Daron
roombroom12ga 4
Your Saiga 12 will eat three inch shells all day.The gun and yourself will suffer no ill effects. Just be sure to set the gas regulator to position one.Have fun and be safe!
billyjoebob 10
I have a bunch of 3" shells through mine as well...no problems whatsoever. Just an FYI, I've read that the locking tab on some American manufacturered stick mags can break off under heavy recoil (not sure if it was only happening in extreme cold temps). Likely because they don't have the steel reinforcement that the Russian mags (and MD drum) have. Something to be aware of...
Tuck87 1
They will run just fine. The recoil is similar to most 3 1/2" shells. I've already had to run quite a few rounds of these through Remington 870s, 1187s, and their new shot gun. They start to hurt after about 15 rounds.
hobbyshooter 59
Those shells can damage you. Be sure to keep the muzzle pointed in a safe direction.
