Just bustin your chops man. I just wanted to the see the pup in action. ALL new builds have to be tweaked.

No worries. I just didn't know if you needed a picture of the disconnector to figure out what was wrong.

Once I get it running I'll try to get some video of it.

Cool project, Boba, but bull-pupped Kalashnikovs still look clumsy and wrong to me. I just don't see how it could be comfortable/natural to fire with the grips so damn close together.   Imo, if a

Once I have modified my second Bull Pup I will offer this rail on a very limited basis, there is a lot of work to make it fit and it requires 2 different rails so the material cost is high.

I wonder if there is a way to buy the separate pieces needed to do this conversion? That way you are not stuck with the other two quadrail halves.

If you mean "buy them from UTG" the answer is no :(

I talked at length with them and to do it that way you would have to buy 1000 pieces.

However I am in the process of buying the raw extrusion for the center section. Once I get all the details worked out I should have enough material to do 20 rails.

This would do 2 things.

1. It would give me a center section that covers the entire gas system which would look better.

2. I would be able to sell the bottom of the S-12 Rail with the standard length upper rail and could recoup part of the cost, which could be passed on to the people that wanted to get the rail components from me.

I couldn’t get a stock sling to work so I made a simple one from one of my UTG slings

The rifle hangs from my shooting shoulder and lays right against my body. I have it adjusted so the pistol grip is right at my hand

It also stores well:

I was able to get the rifle to 100% reliability during dry firing. I'll test it at the range tomorrow.

To get the safety to work I had to reduce the length of the tail by about 1/32' and I had to notch the right side.

To get the disconnector to work I had to replace most of the FCG and Hammer Group with Tapco parts and I used the spring from my S-410. This got it to about 50% reliability. Then I had to polish all of the contact points which seems to have completely fixed it. I'll know more tomorrow once I actually shoot it

I contacted Century to see if they will compensate me for the parts. It will be interesting to see how they handle this.

I shot this today and it functioned fine for one mag. The second mag developed the same disconnector issue.

I guess I will have to send it back to Century. I think it's shitty that I have to pay the shipping to send them a defective gun.

Pretty normal with those monkeys at Century. You are not the first and certainly will not be the last to pay for shit they should cover.

You plan on sending that gun back to Century for a warranty service or refund?

After all the "modifications" you did?

Now, I am no big fan of Century, but I'm afraid you mat have voided any warranty.

Can't wait to read that thread.

Here we go again.

Please tell me how a quad rail voids a warrenty?

And you can really impress me by explaining how the quad rail is making the disconnctor stick.

It really is a mute point though, I can make return it to the factory configuration in less the 30 minutes.

This rifle is completely done.

I added a small section to the middle area of the quad rail, behind the main section that the top rail is mounted to. This gives the rail a more finished look.

I also tuned up the entire rifle and it doesn't seem to have any disconnector issues when dry firing.

I'll know more when I shoot it this week end.

I had some issues with the disconnector as well, Switching out to the trigger wire to a small coated cable eliviated the issue. I think the wire creates just enough drag to stall the hammer enough so that the disconnector hangs up. If the FCG doesn't "rock" enough, it can't function properly.

Just a thought,
