Bvamp 604 Posted July 23, 2010 Report Share Posted July 23, 2010 To be more specific (this comes up pretty often actually), remove the screw, and because the handguard wraps around the gas block and barrel, hold onto the gun, and grasping the guard from the front where you pulled the screw out, you pull it straight off in the direction the screw came out, then forward to get the retaining lip out of the receiver.
