offmarksman 0
Hey Guys, I am new to the post, but here goes. My goal is to be able to use AR15 magazines in a Saiga and still be able to do a 22LR conversion. I have a CMMG .22LR conversion for my AR, so I have some AR conversion magazines already. Anyone done this, or any ideas?
MT Predator 2,294
A Saiga using AR (AKA Black Dog) mags for .22 LR for a conversion? What are you using for a .22 LR bolt and carrier in the Saiga? I don't see this abortion happening for some reason. The AK-22s I have messed with which were built to be .22 LR were pretty sub-standard. One owner I know sent it back for his cash. It would go full auto without notice and then fail to feed and eject on a separate string. Other guy still has his as I think he bought two or three, but still had issues at the range when I observed him with them. If you want a good .22LR rifle, get a 10/22 although you'll find out about the crappy aftermarket hi-cap mags being useless. I shit you not, Ruger factory 10 rounders will not go tits up like Ramline, Butler Creek, and Eagle do. I've had this 10/22 since 1990 and I have tried out quite a bit for 10/22s. BigfootHunter 5
Wow, they actually make a ceiner kit for the AK?!? http://www.22lrconversions.com/ak-pg.htm Whodathunkit? Not sure how they would work. I'd call Ceiner and ask them if the AR mags would feed the AK kit (in an adapter). Obviously you wouldn't have been able to use the AR kit in the AK though. Coils 2
A friend had one of those Ceiner AK kits, it wasn't worth it. Also the BD mags won't work with the Ceiner, the Ceiner mags have the ejector made into the left feed lip.
