Hello guys and gals. I just wanted to let everyone who is interested know that there is a monthly subgun match at the Malabar shooting range in Palmbay Florida. FL - Palm Bay Sub Gun Match

Description: Monthly Submachine Gun match.

 

Gear to bring:

 

# Pistol with 3 magazines, out of wasteband holster, and mag pouch. 100 rounds of pistol ammo.

 

# Subgun and a sling, mag pouch and at least 5 magazines. 300-500 rounds of subgun ammo. (it's better to bring 500 and not need it all than to bring 300 and run out)

 

What to expect: A typical match will have 4-7 different stages of varying complexity. A strong emphasis is given to helping the competitiors learn from the stage design.

 

Entry Fee: $20

 

Prizes:

Trophies go to the top 5-10 shooters depending on the match.

Yeah that is what I want to do is to shoot up a ton of ammo pay them $20.00 to shoot, and get a plastic trophy.... LOL no thanks, when they get a prize of at least $5000.00 please let me know.....

August steel Match 2011. Macaholic runs a SKINNY-MAC with a Bowers 9mm suppressor.

Macaholic applies controlled bust fire with a SKINNY-MAC. This course required four rounds per silhouette and one round on the stop plate.

Wow looks like a lot of fun wish I was there.

Yeah, these matches are a lot of fun. I've been doing them since about 2004 and I've been addicted ever since. In addition, the Saiga -12 has really got a hook in me, and it's become my favorate weapon to shoot in competition. I totally look forward to our three gun matches with the shotgun so I can run my Saiga-12 K. Thanks for the reply Topmaul.biggrin.png Edited by macaholic

This course requires four rounds per silhouette and one round per stop plate.

I'm running a MAC-380 with a Gemtech Viper.

These videos are a function test with a Saiga-12 that recently had the barrel shortened to 16" . The gun has three gas ports that have not been enlarged in order for it to function. I believe they messure at the factory .073. The first run was shot with Remington 2-3/4 #6 bird shot. 6-24-2012.

The second run was shot with Winchester Super Target Heavy 2-3/4 # 7 1/2 bird shot. Note the Winchester is noticeably hotter than the Remington.
