regal 2
Which stock is high enough to give a decent cheeckweld with a bigger scope?
RobRez 1,895
I think you will need one with some sort of additional cheek riser,I have seen it on some of the black Thumb hole style stocks. I also am looking for a stock with a high enough cheek weld.
cw3sting 12
For converted Saiga's there are adjustable cheek pieces for ACE and DPH skeleton stocks, and the EMA collapsible stock. For factory rifles, the Russian American Armory skeleton stock has a built-in cheek piece. I would think that with an AR15 stock adapter most AR15 stocks and accessories would work. Some of the AR15 M4 collapsible tube cheek pieces might actually work too. I've been looking for ideas myself.
ChileRelleno 7,071
I'm looking for a good lace-on or strap-on cheek piece for my S.308-ver,21, and I'd prefer leather.
gregarat1 0
I bought one of these, for my stock. My link
CJS3 3
I've also been looking for a cheek weld add on for my Tapco stock. As a temporary solution, I used some pipe insulation and velcro straps;
Rhodes1968 1,638
I've also been looking for a cheek weld add on for my Tapco stock. As a temporary solution, I used some pipe insulation and velcro straps; I did similar but covered the pad with Naugahyde material and kept the Velcro underneath the pad so I can remove or install easily and water doesn't soak it. By far the most comfortable cheek weld Ive had on rifles. Thats one tall mount there what is it? Edited August 23, 2010 by Rhodes1968
ChileRelleno 7,071
That ^^^ mount is 'way' too tall. I bought one of these, for my stock. My link Not about to drill my wood, not a chance, nope, no way. Edited August 23, 2010 by ChileRelleno
AZ Gun Nut 8
That ^^^ mount is 'way' too tall. I bought one of these, for my stock. Old SF MJT 7
Choate's "Dragonov" stock gets my nod. You'll have to select the height of the cheek piece (3 hts. available; I needed the medium ht for the setup I have), but installed it is rock solid & comfortable. As always, YMMV! kyjoe 0
I went with a Vltor adapter to mount a Magpul CTR. The CTR has cheek weld accessories in various heights
