saan2112 0
How would the trigger group, hammer, and firing pin work with this Vepr? Could it possibly be done to a saiga? Everything is pretty much in a same spot as a non-bullpup. Now that would be a conversion!
Onepoint 0
That isnt a Vepr unless they welded a piece to the back of the receiver to be straight. Sure it could be done to a Saiga. That one is a kit probably, which means you still have to move the trigger to make it work. One of the major complaints with bullpups is the trigger because of the long transfer bar that runs back fromn the trigger to the disconnetor and make the trigger heavy and mushy, if you couple that to the factory Saiga trigger, I don't imagine it would make anyone very happy. You also have raise the sights higher so they can be seen, which introduces a whole new set of problems, like custom sight block and rear sight as well as scope rail for optics. So to build one from scratch woul be quite a project. I like the idea though, and would maybe like to try a kit someday.

Bigfoot Wallace 0
Get a kit and try it. The aku 94 kit is around 200 dollars and should be a lot of fun. Maybe you could figure out how to fix the mushy trigger. I have thought about a fire by wire system, a small solenoid or something with lithium batttery. Who knows could be lots o'fun
Frankensteineken 0
I've heard of poor triggers in bullpups, but I've never fired one, so I can't personally comment. I wonder if they are all plagued with the problem, or if it can be overcome. Has anyone here shot a FAMAS or Steyr AUG?
uzitiger 193
I'm left handed so you won't see me shooting a bullpup. I don't want hot shell cases in my face or down my shirt.
Onepoint 0
Usually its the conversions that have poor triggers. Factory ones tend to be better, like the Bushmaster M17 etc.
jimmbswu 0
I heard that the aku 94 kit is especially bad with regard to the trigger wire connecting to the old trigger.
