THE_HUNTER 2
I have an heirloom Iver Johnson .32 S&W (not S&W long) with a concealed hammer and an owl head on the grips that has a cylinder that can back rotate and the trigger will not push forward to its original position when fired. I took it apart years ago but could find nothing broke, so I put it back together. Any ideas on this one? Thanks!
magsite20 1,664
have you got a parts breakdown to make sure everything is there and in place?
Shandlanos 1,470
I would start here: http://www.gunpartscorp.com/catalog/Models.aspx?catid=265 Find your particular model, and see if they have a diagram. Disassemble the weapon again and try to determine what part or parts are most likely to cause that condition, and replace them even if they don't look worn. It's a braindead way of doing it, but could work.
THE_HUNTER 2
So I ended up taking it to my gunsmith and $37 later he made a new spring and that old the gem is now back to life. I love an easy and cheap fix! Thank you for the help though! Kudos! Edited September 8, 2010 by THE_HUNTER
