marsofold 6
Try using a Surefire magazine. They come with a built-in bullet ramp that aims the bullet at the correct angle to go into the chamber. One of this site's sponsors sells them: http://store.carolinashooterssupply.com/servlet/-strse-54/Saiga-223-30-round/Detail
Zambidis 90
What magazine(s) are you using?

What magazines are you running? if you could supply a picture of the inside of your receiver and your boltface, it would also help determine your problem. If it's a stock .223 it's probably an issue with the magazine.

Zambidis 90
Out of curiosity I'd still like to know what mags you were using. I'm wondering if you just had a gun without a bullet guide yet installed and an attempt to use mags that require one.
mavrick16o 6
they were plastic promags
imarangemaster 315
The plastic guides on the promags are garbage. If you put a Dinzag Bullet guide in, and remove the promag guide, the mags function 100% Did it have dimples or not? Send me a PM. I am picking up Saiga again this fall. DavidQ 170
I'm having the same problem but I have a bullet guide and am using orlite galil mags. The projectile gets pushed back into the shell when it fails to feed. What could be the issue?

MD_Willington 11
if the front of the mag sits too low then BAM it will miss the hole!

DavidQ 170
I think I may have found the problem. The bullet guide ramp is sitting exactly flush with the rounds so they get jammed into the bullet guide. I am not sure what brand it is but I'm going to order a dinzag bullet guide and hopefully that will fix the jamming.
DavidQ 170
I finally received my bullet guide and guess what? It now feeds perfect. I can hand cycle them with the bolt out and they sit above the guide now, not perfectly even like with the other guide. I will be shooting it this weekend to make sure all is good to go. So if you want galil orlites, then the Dinzag bullet guide is the way to go.
DavidQ 170
Well I fixed jamming issue with the dinzag bullet guide. Gun ran perfect. If you want to use galil mags the get the dinzag bullet guide.
