Roan 19
I was vaguely worried when I moved to Texas, given the media stereotype of a Texan being an inconsiderate, hateful oaf, but I've fallen in love with this state. Friendly people, open embrace of (most) freedoms, low cost of living, and plenty of opportunities to advance in most fields. It's really awesome to be able to carry concealed while SCUBA diving. clifton 354
TRUE STORY FROM ... "THE HOUSTON HERALD NEWSPAPER" IN HOUSTON, TEXAS MARCH 5th, 2009 Last Thursday Night Around Midnight, A Woman >From Houston , Texas Was Arrested, Jailed, And Charged With Manslaughter For Shooting A Man 6 Times In The Back As He Was Running Away With Her Purse. The Following Monday Morning, The Woman Was Called In Front Of The Arraignment Judge, Sworn In, And Asked To Explain Her Actions. The Woman Replied, "I Was Standing At The Corner Bus Stop For About 15 Minutes, Waiting For The Bus To Take Me Home After Work.. I Am A Waitress At A Local Cafe..... I Was There Alone, So I Had My Right Hand On My Pistol, That Was In My Purse, That Was Hung Over My Left Shoulder. All Of A Sudden I Was Being Spun Around Hard To My Left. As I Caught My Balance, I Saw A Man Running Away From Me With My Purse. I Looked Down At My Right Hand And I Saw That My Fingers Were Wrapped Tightly Around My Pistol. The Next Thing I Remember Is Saying Out Loud, "No Way Punk! Your Not Stealing My Pay Check And Tips." I Raised My Right Hand, Pointed My Pistol At The Man Running Away From Me With My Purse, And Squeezed The Trigger Of My Pistol 6 Times! When Asked By The Arraignment Judge, "Why Did You Shoot The Man 6 Times? The Woman Replied Under Oath, "Because, When I Pulled The Trigger The 7th Time, It Only Went Click." The Woman Was Acquitted Of All Charges. And She Was Back At Work, At The Cafe, The Next Day! Now that's Texas.....

BronCobraJet 80
Texas, the land of the Big Sky. I'm back in Nebraska now, and the sky is the same when you look up. But for some reason it still looks bigger in Texas. How in the hell can a sky look bigger out in the middle of nowhere? It just does.

zenman223 460
there was a thing on the local news just yesterday about a bank in S.C. with the same policy and similar sign on the door. they said since the new rules they have had quite a few NEW accounts opened and everybody they interviewed was happy with the rule. thats good news for us gun owners even though we face more gun control and anti gun hippies than ever, i believe there is more gun owners and pro gun people than ever as well!! Nor do they have formatting so shrunken it only has 4-5 words per line. Nor are they written at 7th grade reading level. Only crappy chain e-mail hoaxes do that. Also, no offense to the Texans on here, but why is that state stereotyped as being so "free" or "pro-gun"? You guys can't even open carry or buy a six pack of Yuengling.
