DrThunder88 912
Rear monopods, in conjunction with front bipods, turn one's rifle into a tripod! It provides a very stable shooting platform. Many rear monopods are screw-adjustable to allow for precise, repeatable elevation adjustments.

In addition to monopods, there are different types of sling mounts that might go on a rear picatinny. It's also a great spot to stick a battery pack.

nsdhanoa 13
This Mako stock has a monopod built in. I was considering getting it for my .308 but went with an Ace internal block skeleton stock instead. Plus the Mako costs something like $200 >.<http://www.makosecurity.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=SSR25&Category_Code=_FAB
