I bought a wood set for the gun and I bought a retainer for the lower hand piece. Im missing the two pieces that hold on the top hand guard. Anyone know where I can buy these? Thanks for the help! jgillaspy 24
Actually, those come as part of the gas tube. You would need to replace the gas tube with a standard AK-74 one and grind it to fit. Dinzag sells ones already modified as do others I'm sure. Using the true AK-74 lower handguard retainer requires pressing off the Front Sight Block and Gas Block. There are tutorials in the Tech section. Again, Dinzag makes one (pricey) and there are tutorials out there for modifying the real one using a bolt instead of the lever. Good luck and welcome to the addiction! aagalkin 1
http://store.carolinashooterssupply.com/servlet/-strse-405/AK47-Saiga-gas-tube/Detail I ordered one from CSS a little while ago and had to do some grinding before it fit my 5.45. Nothing too serious, just be ready for that just in case.

WildmamWilliams 51
I too am looking to put wood onto my saiga. Does anyone know if there is a wood kit available without having to change the gas tube? I know there is a factory wood set, but I doubt that's easy to find, and I'm sure it wouldn't be 922r.
