MAAnew 162 Posted October 19, 2010 Report Share Posted October 19, 2010 I am just over 4 weeks out from my brain surgery. The surgery took 6 hours and I had to spend 2 days in the ICU for a total of 6 days in the hospital. The surgery went flawlessly and the hole in the base of my skull is repaired. I still don't have any feeling in the right side of my face, but the doctor said I should get that back within 6 months. My recovery is going great and my doctor plans on taking me off medicine in 2 more months. I would post after surgery pictures, but I am sure no one wants to see them. mrmallek 53 Posted October 19, 2010 Report Share Posted October 19, 2010 Great news! unfortunately- my sister had surgery Saturday to relieve pressure on a subduro- hematoma (not sure I spelled that near correct) I'm assuming yours was a bit more complicated but I was pretty scared for my sis, things went well- so, I can only imagine what your family was goin thru.
