Why Can't I remove my Front Sight Block

Recommended Posts

I have a AK Bull Pup that I am going to revert back to normal AK length. I want to remove the front sight block since I plan to use my extended quad rail system.

In the past I was able to press these off with my arbor press with very little effort.

On this current rifle I can't budge it.

It is a used rifle with a very low round count.

I would like to salvage the part but if I have to I can grind it off.

Does anyone have any tips on what I am I can do to press it off?

I just tried the penatrating oil and I used a 4' cheater bar.

Looks like I'll be leaving the FSB in place.

is it a Saiga 7.62x39 orig. FSB with dimples? or pins holding it in. On mine, I drilled the dimples down 1/16th on all four dimples and after just knocked it off with a hammer. took about 20 min.
