Boba Debt 350
I have a AK Bull Pup that I am going to revert back to normal AK length. I want to remove the front sight block since I plan to use my extended quad rail system. In the past I was able to press these off with my arbor press with very little effort. On this current rifle I can't budge it. It is a used rifle with a very low round count. I would like to salvage the part but if I have to I can grind it off. Does anyone have any tips on what I am I can do to press it off? Edited October 24, 2010 by Boba Debt

oxyehho 8
WD-40 or any other kind of penetrating oil? Agree with the heat suggestion as well.
Boba Debt 350
I tired heat. I guess I'll go get some penetrating oil.
gregomega 929
I like to threaten the part with replacement and shoot a couple choice words it's way. Sometimes remind it that it could become scrap. Works sometimes
Boba Debt 350
I just tried the penatrating oil and I used a 4' cheater bar. Looks like I'll be leaving the FSB in place.

On mine, I drilled the dimples down 1/16th on all four dimples and after just knocked it off with a hammer. took about 20 min.
Boba Debt 350
It's a regular CIA AK Bull Pup. I own 3 of these and the other 2 can off with very little effort.
