mrwgafun 1
I have trouble with iron sights on my Saiga. My eyes just aren't what they used to be. Plus I would like to have night sights on my Saiga. Has anyone tried these? Will they work on the Saiga too. http://www.meprolight.com/default.asp?catid={3784A9DB-043B-461E-89AD-6ADB860359FD} Also, has anyone tried the Midwest Industries hand guard? Do you like it? I was thinking about the UTG or the Tapco but I came across this. It is more expensive but I like it. I was going to get the Tapco because I've heard too many things about the UTG. This one also look less bulky then the UTG. http://www.midwestindustriesinc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=category.display&category_id=277 Regards, MRW
swells08 128
I have tritium iron sights on my rifle...I prefer only the front post because my dots were all the same color and blurred my vision together...lol I really like the sight post though it does as advertised in low light obviously in darkness it interferes with focus and dialation...also accuracy is about 5 moa at 100 yards so it's not a tack driver...but it'll hit a vital area. sams_nephew_83 0
if you ever watch the nuttinfancy project on youtube, he had an MI on an arsonal and said they clamp directly to the bbl and it opened up the groups considerably. i was very disapointed as the mi forend looked to be almost opperator grade. this also makes me wonder about the ultamak gastube rail, it clamps to the bbl as well. If you get the mi forend post some befor and after groups to confirm or deny the TNP roumors.
mrwgafun 1
If that's true maybe I should go with the Tapco. I don't really need the top rail for optics. I already have a side mounting rail. It just looked like a nice clean fit and finish. I do not want to make my rifle less accurate.

BigfootHunter 5
Looks like you add one of the lower rails to the optic sight mounts (both found here): http://www.ultimak.com/BuyAK.htm Also, looking for more info on this particular rifle (above), where did you get it? What length is that barrel?
Salmonking 149
The best night sight you can buy is an aimpoint on an ultimak.
