is $175 a good price during this dreadful time??

it seems i've seen them going for alot more lately.

 

shops down to the last one.

 

they had 3 at $275 a piece.

 

looks like they sold some since they went down to $175.

 

i got to thinking and i thought "damn", you can't even get a "lowcap" ak for that much nowadays.

 

i just may go get that baby tomorrow!

That seems to be about the lowest price I have seen for a NIB Saiga rifle. I paid $179 for mine at Christmas. I doubt that you will find one cheaper right now.

ok, so if i do get it should i leave it in it's original config or convert it?

 

all my other saigas are original. just about got the whole damn lineup.

 

i already have an ak so i don't really need to convert.

 

only reasons i'm even considering getting it is the sudden high demand and the pretty low price.

 

i was trying to save for bigger better fish but every time i try something like this comes along and @*#&$WHAM%*@$#, there goes my ammo/stock/magazine fund.

actually i'm kind of stuck.

 

my wife has our only operational vehicle and i have to wait til she gets off work so i can go get it.

 

if i would have gotten my lazy ass out of bed this morning i could have dropped her off at work and went to get it.

 

i'll go this afternoon and if it's not there i'll kick myself in the ass for not getting it yesterday.

 

then everytime i come to this site i'll be reminded of my stupidity and procrastination.

I'll garab it at $175. You can't beat the price. The Saiga is a great shooter out of the box even if you don't convert it.

it was very weird though.

 

they recently marked it down from $275 to $175 b/c they've had it since 1999.

 

i brought it up to the counter and when the guy entered the serial number in the computer he asked me if anybody told me a specific price.

 

right then i thought "oh great some jackass put the wrong price on the damn thing".

 

then he said,"let me go ask if we can come down on this anymore".

 

i was like," "

 

unfortuately he came back and the owner said nope.

 

b/c they just recently marked it down.

 

oh well i got a helluva deal on this one.

 

would have been awesome if they would have let me take it for about $125-$150!

 

weird thing is i didn't even ask!

 

but, this is the place i mentioned before that had "mak-90" on the price tag.
