a few good questions

ok.

with all this "which mag is legal" crap i need some clarification.

is it legal to use a factory 30rnd saiga mag in an unconverted saiga?

is a u.s. made ak mag considered a lcmm?

is it legal to use a u.s. made ak mag in an unconverted saiga?

a u.s. mag counts as 3 u.s. parts so how many parts are needed to make a saiga compliant?

the mag is three. a new piston is one. a hammer is one. thats 5 total.

One would think not, its imported semiauto, and haas a highcap mag. besides, where the hell did you find a mag?

Yes

Only if you have 1 more us part (hammer. piston etc..)

1 (hammer. piston etc..) But then you can only use US made mags

Thats one more than needed, but it works.

You might as well do the conversion, i did it in one afternoon, incredibly easy, especially if your reciver already has the holes in it. Not to mention no doubts on legality if done right. I put in the us FCG (3 parts) and an arsenal Inc. gas piston, that way i can use whatever stock and pg i want

i found a source for some 30 round factory saiga mags awhile back for about $35 a piece.

i thought that they were undetermined on what makes a mag a lcmm.

i thought that all u.s. mags were considered lcfd and any foreign made high caps were considered lcmm b/c thats basically what surplus ak mags are. retired military magazines.

??????
