Trepidation 0
Greetings folks, finally got a Saiga-12... I seem to have a lot of difficulty switching it into fire. If I flip it down, the little dimple hangs on the edge of the case (sorry, looking for the right term). I have to pull back the bolt and it will pop it up and I can move it down, but that doesn't seem right. Is there something I need to shim, tweak, or grind to make it more user friendly? My composition skills aren't the best, I can video what I am talking about if needed.
Skitterfish 10
Mine does the same thing. I notice that the S12 safety travels up much farther than the one on my SAR-1 to the point that it slips off the top of the receiver like you describe. I think its due to the way it contacts the dust cover. I have taken to sitting on the couch watching a movie and working the safety through that spot and wearing it in. It seems to have improved a bit, hope that helps.
