S-12 Cheek Weld w/ Red Dot

I put a Chaos rail on my S-12 hoping to mount a red dot sight close enough to the bore to get a decent cheek weld. So far no luck. Is there any red dot out there with a low enough profile to work with the Saiga or...?

Does that mount right up to the rail as is or do you need to order a separate mount? How'd it hold up? What did you switch to?

You never mentioned what stock you are running. I run a Magpul with a 3/4" cheek riser and get a good cheekweld to acquire my sights. Sights are Chaos HK irons on a Chaos extended rail and an Aimpoint Comp M2 in a low Aimpoint mount which co-witness the irons.

I get a great cheek weld on a bare DPH skeleton stock.. and my R-1 co-witnesses with my H&K irons:

 

 

 

Even if you're not putting it on a Tromix rail, any Aimpoint Micro red dot, (T-1, H-1, R-1), mounts pretty low.
